About Luc Vincent

Biography

Luc Vincent is a master hairstylist and a leading authority in his field, renowned for his unmatched expertise in makeovers—particularly in cutting and colouring. His exceptionally brilliant career began at a young age, when he watched in fascination as his self-taught hairdresser mother transformed the neighbours' hair. That formative experience awakened in him, a few years later, a passion that would turn his calling into an iconic career.

Rooted in family tradition, Luc enrolled in a hairdressing school where he excelled, graduating with honours. But he didn't stop there. Determined to prove his talent, he entered several prestigious international competitions right out of the academy, going head-to-head with the industry's best. He distinguished himself by winning prestigious competitions in Los Angeles, and Luc Vincent quickly became a respected authority among his peers.

Recruited by a leading California-based haircare company, Luc rose rapidly through the ranks to become artistic director for Quebec and joined the international team responsible for testing new products—a role he was deeply passionate about. For over a decade, he educated and inspired thousands of hairstylists through conventions and international travels, while continuing his training at the most prestigious academies in Los Angeles, London, and Paris.

The pinnacle of his artistic career came when he was selected by Cirque du Soleil to create the meticulously detailed wig cuts for the performers of the iconic show "O" in Las Vegas.
Luc discovered a new passion for haircare product chemistry when he began collaborating with a Canadian styling-product company, working alongside chemists in the lab to develop groundbreaking haircare products that transformed the industry.

Luc Vincent is not limited to hairdressing—he is also an accomplished entrepreneur. Owner of two hair salons, he became a fixture on Quebec television through the show "Airoldi pour une sortie" on Canal Vie, where he was crowned "king of the makeover" for his incredible hair transformations of more than 500 participants over five years.

At the same time, Luc published "Pas de quoi s'arracher les cheveux" in 2010 at the request of Éditions La Presse. The book became a true hairstyling bible designed to help women do their own hair at home. It propelled him onto the media stage, where he became a haircare columnist for radio and television stations as well as renowned magazines.

With a rich and diverse career, Luc Vincent extended his ambitions beyond hairdressing. He created the workshop "Seul mon coiffeur le sait" in partnership with a psychologist, offering training to hairstylists to prepare them to intervene when clients show signs of psychological distress. His philanthropic commitment also led him to open a non-profit salon, "Luc mon coiffeur," in Le Chaînon, the oldest women's shelter in Canada.

In recognition of his exceptional dedication to the community, Luc Vincent received the Canadian John Steinberg Award in 2020.

Now that he has founded one of the most thriving haircare companies in Canada, Luc still holds the same mission: to create products that not only solve hair problems but also help women style their own hair and gain independence from their hairstylists. His extraordinary journey continues to inspire, embodying the spirit of a big-hearted artist with boundless creativity.
